The Elite heavy duty concertina loft ladder is supplied without a loft hatch. It is also easy to install within an existing ceiling opening or hatch box. Therefore, the Elite is ideal for a renovation project or replacement of an old loft ladder.
Supplied as a ready to fit unit, The Elite loft ladder is manufactured from high strength die-cast aluminium alloy components. It is supplied with two heavy duty counter-balanced springs incorporated into pivot brackets. As a result, it can be raised and lowered with a minimum of effort.
In addition, large treads, non-slip protective feet and telescopic handrail (supplied as standard) offer comfort, safety and ease of access.

Elite Vertical loft ladder
- The Elite concertina loft ladder can be fitted with a hinge mechanism that allows it to be stowed vertically. As such, it can be used within a vertical wall opening or on a mezzanine floor.
- The damped hinge mechanism allows for safe and easy operation. In addition, it allows the Elite Vertical to be positioned behind a door, up to 40mm from the edge of the opening (80mm with special modification).

Elite with high backboard
- The Elite can be ordered with a made-to-measure backboard (see image gallery) to enable egress through deep ceiling voids.
- The high backboard features height-adjustable steps. Also, it features safety rails on both the left and right.
- Backboard width – 590mm up to 1100mm
- Backboard height – 490mm up to 2000mm
- In addition, the backboard can also be ordered separately from the retractable ladder.

Elite with LAMILUX high backboard
- Also available with a special high backboard that is designed for use with LAMILUX roof lights. As such, offering safe and easy access to a flat roof for both commercial and residential projects.
- Suitable for LAMILUX CI system rooflight dome F100 and the LAMILUX CI System glass element F100.
- The LAMILUX rooflight requires a special bracket. The Elite with LAMILUX high backboard is then secured to the bracket using only a few simple fixings (supplied).

Retractable Gantry Ladder for TV Camera Operator
Positioned above a seating area, high-up in a famous Premier League football stadium, the TV camera operator gantry required a ladder that could be neatly retracted out of the way when not in use. The Elite Ladder Instils Confidence

Taking a Bold Step – Custom Elite loft ladder in ‘Sulphur Yellow’ powder coat finish
Loft ladders do not come any bolder than this stunning Elite, which was finished in a ‘Sulphur Yellow’ powder coat. Two identical ladders were ordered by US steel fabrication and installation specialists Alloy Construction Service. Safety was a key priority for this project. As such, The Elite loft ladders needed a bright yellow powder coat finish and had to be fitted with two telescopic handrails.
Secure Plant Room Access
Metcraft Engineering contacted Premier Loft Ladders looking for a way to access to a lift motor room on a multi-story car park. Access was through a large ceiling aperture, measuring 1200mm x 1200mm. Being in a public space, security was a big concern. The solution was a heavy duty steel hatch with concertina ladder.
